| IIIIDescription |
| The
state-of-the-art 17 element photovoltaic HgCdTe photodiodes use
Fermionics, advanced liquid-phase epitaxial (LPE) growth and
device technology. The versatility of the LPE technique assures
the desired cut-off wavelength to be easily adjusted. The proprietary
process yields excellent detection performance in the short-wave
(SWIR), mid-wave (MWIR), and long-wave (LWIR) infrared region.
The front side illuminated photodiode is packaged and wedge bonded
to a flat pack. |
| IIIIStandard
Package |
| The photodiode
mounted flat pack is packaged in an LN2 dewar. A temperature
sensor is mounted inside the flat pack. All 17 photodiodes and
the temperature sensor are connected to the dewar,s SMA output
connectors. The side looking dewar,s hold time is least 12 hours.
For the SWIR photodiode, a Quartz window is mounted on the dewar
and for the MWIR and LWIR photodiode an AR coated ZnSe window
is mounted on the dewar. |
| IIIIPreamplifier |
|
The low noise 17 channel
transimpedance preamplifier is optimized for the 17 element photodetector.
The preamplifier,s input and output connections are SMAs. The
preamplifier's bandwidth is offered in 1, 5, 10 and 20Mhz range.

HgCdTe photodiode layout. A center photodiode and two concentric
circles with 8 photodiodes on each circle. Each photodiode is
located at 45 degree increments. The first circle's diameter
is 2.40 mm and the second is 4.34 mm. |
